Waseem Ashfaq, FCA
Waseem Ashfaq is a commerce graduate from Hailey College of Commerce, and a qualified Chartered Accountant since 1994. He has completed his articles from Ernst & Young Pakistan. After qualification, he has assumed senior positions in large and reputable companies in Mutual Fund Investment, Engineering, Construction, Telecom, Textile, Financial Institution and Financial Consultancy sectors in Pakistan and abroad.
Currently he is a senior partner in H.A.M.D & Co. Chartered Accountants, and representing McMillan Woods Global Ltd (MCMWG) in Pakistan which is a global network and an association of independent local and regional firms of recognized qualified accountants and professional advisors. He is In-charge of Lahore office of the firm. The firm has a rich professional experience in the field of Accountancy, Auditing, Taxation, Consultancy, Human Resources and the Information Technology. The firm has partners’ office in Karachi and Islamabad as well. The firm is a QCR rated firm and is also in the panel of firms of chartered accountants maintained with office of USAID/OIG to conduct financial audits of its grantees.
Previously, in Saudi Arabia he has worked with E. A. Juffali & Bors. Group, ZAD Investment Company and Saudi Binladin Group in senior finance position. In Pakistan, he held senior finance position in Descon Engineering Company and Pakistan Telecom Company. He has also worked with SECP as Director (Enforcement) and in projects funded by USAID and Norwegian Embassy as Chief Financial Officer, thus gaining opportunity to apply good knowledge of financial management policies and corporate affairs of large business houses and international donor agencies. He has also attended ‘Workshop on USAID’s Financial Audit Programs for NGOs’ and Training on Forensic Audit organized by USAID/OIG and LUMS.
Besides having vast experience in core professional areas of accountancy and auditing, he has gained expertise in system designing, process development, internal auditing, policy formulation, risk management and control functions. Other expertise include finance arrangement, negotiation with financial institutions for loans and interest rates settlements and authentication, project costing, budgeting & forecasting, feasibility studies, business advisory, financial management, business projections, cash flows, accounting and report writing for use at various management tiers.
In addition of fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, he is member of the Institute of Taxation Management, Pakistan; The Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Managers, Pakistan; Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants, The Institute of Internal Auditors, Florida, USA (Pakistan Chapter) and Lahore Tax Bar Association.
ldrees Dawson FCA, ACMA
Mr. ldrees Dawson is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and Cost & Management Accountant. He has a very long career in the Profession of auditing, accountancy, internal audit, special audits, investigations and business management consultancy.
He was associated with Baker Tilly International, Delloitte Touche Thomatsu, Ernst and Young International and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
During his career he was engaged in large, medium &. small organisations including Banks, Modarabas, Multinational Companies, Large Public Sector Corporations, Airlines, Port Authorities, Shipping Lines &. Agents, Oil &. Petroleum, Hotels, Automobile Industry and NGOs. He is also a member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan.
Muhammad Asif Raza, ACA
Asif Raza is a Commerce Graduate and a Chartered Accountant. He has continuously been involved in statutory audit, corporate and personal taxation to include tax planning and investigation; corporate affairs and business consultancy.
He has gained extensive experience in development and preparation of accounting manuals and preparation of accounting systems and procedures, review of existing MIS, budgetary controls, costing, pricing policies and preparation of feasibility reports for projects of various business segments.
He has in-depth knowledge of Income Tax for individuals, partnerships and limited companies including experience with appellate forums.
